Why Egyptian granite
A stone with thousands of years of architectural use

- 01
A proven building stone
Granite from the Aswan region was quarried in antiquity for obelisks, statues and temple elements — some of which still stand today.
- 02
Dense and durable
As a group, granites are hard, crystalline igneous rocks with low porosity, which is why they are widely used for high-traffic floors, stairs and exterior work.
- 03
A broad palette
Egyptian quarries yield whites and greys, pinks, reds, near-blacks and greens — giving designers a coherent family of tones from one origin.
- 04
Many surface finishes
The same block can be polished to a mirror, honed to a soft matte, or flamed and bush-hammered for slip-resistant exterior surfaces.
Properties vary between stones and between quarry batches. See each product for sourced figures.
Surface finishes
One stone, many surfaces
The finish changes how a granite looks, feels underfoot and performs outdoors.

01
Polished
A mirror-like gloss that deepens colour and reveals every crystal.

02
Honed
A smooth, satin-matte surface with a calm, contemporary look.

03
Flamed (Thermal)
A rough, crystalline texture created with intense heat — a classic for exterior paving.

04
Bush Hammered
A uniformly pitted surface with strong grip and a sculptural, architectural feel.
Applications
Where Egyptian granite works hardest

Stairs
Treads, risers and landings that keep their edges and finish under constant foot traffic.

Flooring
Hard-wearing floors for homes, hotels, offices and public buildings.
Wall Cladding
Interior feature walls and lobbies with the depth only natural stone gives.

Kitchen Countertops
Heat-tolerant, durable worktops for kitchens, islands and vanities.
Exterior Façades
Ventilated and fixed façades that weather gracefully.
Landscaping
Paving, kerbs, cobbles, benches and water features.
